Native American Grad FAQ

  • When is the Native American Graduation Celebration?
  • The Native American Graduation Celebration  is on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 6-8PM.
  • How can I register to participate? When is the registration deadline?
  • You can register for the 2026 Native American Graduation Celebration by filling out the registration form. The registration deadline is Monday, May 4th, 2026.

  • How do I know if I have registered for the celebration?
  • You will receive a confirmation email upon submitting your registration. Please continue to check this email, as you will be receiving emails regarding logistical information from Nora Zade.
  • How much does it cost to participate in the Native American Graduation celebration?
  • The cost will be $20 per graduate, which includes stole, digital graduation program booklet, a catered dinner, and lifetime memories with family. If you are unable to pay this fee, scholarships are available. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
  • Where can I pay to participate?
  • Please pick up a payment slip at The Nest (University House) from Program Coordinator Nora Zade. You will need to take your payment slip to the Cashiers Office between Mon - Fri from 10AM to 2PM.   • What happens if I submit my registration but I don’t pay?
  • If you do not pay your participation fee, you will be dropped from the list of participants.
  • If I need to cancel my participation what should I do? Would I get a refund? What is the deadline to cancel?
  • Please notify us as soon as possible via email at [email protected] to submit your cancellation request. Unfortunately we are not able to process any refunds.
  • What is the difference between the Native American Graduation Celebration and UC Davis Commencement?

  • This event differs from the UC Davis Commencement ceremonies held at the Golden 1 Center by providing an intimate and inclusive celebration that fully embraces the significance of each graduating student's experience. The event recognizes and celebrates the family and community bond that has contributed to the success of our students. All students are welcome to attend and celebrate with their peers.

  • Who can participate in the Native American Graduation Celebration?

  •  Anyone who has already graduated in Fall 2025 & Winter 2026, and all students who intend to graduate Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 are eligible to participate. All students are welcome to attend and celebrate with their peers.

  • Am I able to participate in multiple graduations? If so, is there overlap?
  • Yes - the Native American Graduation Celebration is completely separate from campus commencement. You can participate in one or the other, or you may also choose to participate in both. If you are participating in the Saturday 2PM UC Davis Commencement, you should head to Davis as soon as the Ceremony ends to get in the UC Davis Conference Center by 6PM.
  • How many tickets am I able to receive for the Native American Graduation Celebration?

  • Each registered participant is eligible to bring 8 guests.

  • What accommodations are available for guests with limited mobility?

  • Please email Nora Zade at your earliest convenience at [email protected] to provide details regarding the accommodation request.
  • How can I volunteer for the 2026 Native American Graduation Celebration?
  • If you are interested in volunteering to support the 2026 ceremony, please fill out the volunteer registration form.
